The United States is considering a mandatory quarantine for all returning health care workers from West Africa, an Obama administration official said Friday. Officials do not believe there is a risk of transmission from someone not exhibiting Ebola-like symptoms, but they want to reassure the public, the administration official said.Because the public will be "reassured" if we quarantine asymptomatic returning doctors, nurses, and other volunteers who are American citizens, but they won't be "reassured" if we were to quarantine any of the actual citizens of Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone coming here. Because the former might become symptomatic, but the latter cannot ever be?!?
And the White House claims
"What we’re going to do is we’re going to be guided by the best scientific advice that we have."
Welcome to the United States of Zimbabwe.
They're not even bothering to hide it.
And clearly, medical epidemic control common sense has nothing whatsoever to do with any decision making.
I had a doctor appointment this morning, I saw where the nurse who got Ebola Coe Pham was free of the disease and mentioned it to the nurses at the office, they said "It's coming here, we are not ready for it" I am taking that as gospel.
ReplyDeleteThis is something we are going to have to deal with from here on out, for what ever reason our leaders cannot or will not take steps to prevent it's spread.
I recall the Polio scares when I was a kid and the long lines at school to get the vaccine, of kids who got it and died.
Why is our government so stubbornly seeking to make an Outbreak possible?
Even if it's only a few million why take the chance?
It is as if they wish the worst for us, either stupid, hateful or full of spite they seem to wish us harm.
I guess they meant it when they said God Damn America.
Even though they say they don't believe in that same God.
Never knowing the same God will damn them too.
Maybe they are just complete fucking idiots.
